Quick and Easy to Play Competitive PvP sports action 🏀 Available on IOS & Android 📱 By @PlayAcidGames

TLDR:
  • Clean graphics and animations

  • Easy-to-grasp controls

  • Limited player base

  • Energy restrictions are too harsh

How to play
  • Playable on mobile

  • Free to play (to a point)

Game Loop
  • It is basketball with beasts

  • You take control of a beast and play on a 2d court

  • The winner scores the most baskets

  • You can shoot, jump, and use your special

  • Each beast has its unique specials, which have differing effects

  • As you win, you collect trophies.

  • These trophies unlock further beasts as well as different game modes

  • I played two game modes: normal and flying

  • The flying mode is played on a larger court, and you can fly following jumping

  • Each game takes about three to four minutes

Game feel
  • First impressions are good, with an engaging art style and clean animations.

  • The gameplay is easy to pick up.

  • Sadly, the player base isn’t there yet, and I spent the entire time playing against bots.

  • The bots can be easily cheesed, which did make it a little repetitive

  • The game required some skilled play when actively avoiding cheesing, yet it still leans more into the fun casual style.

  • Progression to extra beasts and modes is a good motivator to continue playing.

  • However, the energy system is too harsh, not giving the player enough starting games to find it sticky.

  • The energy also doesn’t replenish automatically, besides three free energy drinks plus nine for watching ads.

Rating

  • The game does have potential, and the look is clean and appealing

  • The lack of a player base holds it back

  • Without enough energy to get “invested” in progress, many people just put the game down.

  • It could be some party-style fun if you played with friends.

  • Mixed review at this stage.

Web3 integration

  • Unclear at this stage

The most addicting Web3 Puzzle Game live on iOS/Android. Incubated by @SeascapeNetwork. Building on @Bitcoin.

TLDR:
  • Cute art

  • Easy game loop

  • Bitesized gameplay

  • Appealing to a wide demographic

  • It might have a slight miss match with current web3 gamer profiles

How to play
  • Play on mobile

  • Free to play

Game Loop
  • You are a cute witch stuck on some floating land tiles

  • The goal is to reach the chest

  • Each time you step on a land tile, it falls away

  • On the way to the chest, you need to collect keys and unlock locks

  • Put simplistically, you need to plan a route to unlock all the locks and reach the chest without running out of the floor to walk on

  • The levels keep increasing in difficulty as you progress

  • You have other tools to help, such as undo and hints

  • Your progression through the levels is limited by your hearts, which represent your lives

  • These hearts refill over time

  • Outside the core loop is a meta-game of upgrading your island.

  • These upgrades unlock additional tools for completing the levels

Game feel
  • I was quickly engaged in the challenges.

  • The progression curve was set brilliantly to get me stuck before hitting more complex challenges.

  • The initial heart refresh timer felt a little long if you got stuck on a level; however, upgrading your village can reduce that.

  • The controls and feedback in the game felt rewarding and elevated the simple game loop.

  • You have plenty of challenges to tackle on the map, and I haven’t reached the end yet.

  • There are skins, etc., to buy in-game. I’d assume there might be some social features coming to showcase these, as they didn’t seem to serve any practical purpose.

  • Because it is very casual and puzzle-related, I think it has a large demographic. However, I didn’t see that particularly lining up with the current Web3 population, which is mainly made up of more sweaty gamers.

Rating

  • Enjoyable brainer tease

  • Clean and engaging graphics

  • Sticky core loop

  • Potential mismatch of populations

  • Enjoyed, would recommend playing it.

Web3 integration

  • It's unclear at this point, beyond being on Bitcoin.
